How to choose a holster?

You've selected your firearm, and you've already acquired the ammunition you intend to carry. Now, it's the perfect moment to contemplate your preferred method of carry.

To make this choice wisely, it's essential to consider various factors. First, think about your lifestyle. What type of work environment do you find yourself in? Are you spending most of your day in your car or at your office?

When it's a self-defense firearm, the intention is to carry it wherever you go. You must decide whether you want to keep it concealed or prefer open carry. The decision hinges on your lifestyle and work environment. It's important to recognize that not everyone you encounter in your workplace may be comfortable with the presence of a firearm, so discretion is key. Carrying concealed offers the element of surprise if the need arises. Inside the waistband (IWB) holsters are an option worth considering.

For nature trips in hot and humid conditions, an outside the waistband (OWB) holster might be preferable, as it keeps the gun away from your body and sweat, and concealing isn't a top priority.

If your occupation involves spending most of your day in a car, a cross-draw holster could be a suitable choice. Alternatively, an appendix-style holster might address some of your specific needs.

There are numerous options to choose from, and one holster may not solve all your requirements. It might be worth considering the purchase of two holsters to cover various scenarios.

You'll also need to determine your preferred carrying position—strong side at 4 o'clock position (for right-handed individuals), or appendix carry? IWB or OWB?

Lastly, you'll need to decide on the material of the holster. Do you prefer the traditional feel of leather or the contemporary reliability of Kydex?

In summary, it's a matter of selecting the right holster type that aligns with your unique lifestyle and preferences. So, tell us, what type of holster do you prefer? Please share your thoughts with us.
